The Custard Files: Honey Roasted Peanut
This review is full of bias, as Julianna loves all peanut-y things (boiled, buttered, roasted, curry, what have you). It is not uncommon to catch her eating peanut butter with a spoon.
The honey roasted peanut custard is awesome. Just the right mix of salty and sweet , and almost like eating cold peanut butter with a spoon. We tried both the milkshake and the custard, and decided that it might have been the best custard flavor yet. Vanessa had been in a seriously bad mood, but this custard drastically improved her state of mind. Yay!
However, there is one thing that can always improve peanut sweets, and that is chocolate. Julianna found this to be true when she got a hop scotch concrete (custard, hot caramel sauce, chocolate toffee and valrhona chocolate chunks) made with the Honey Roasted Peanut custard and took it to her boyfriend, Peter. Talk about awesome. She described it as “like the candy bar of my dreams made in to frozen custard.” Peter was a harder sell, giving it a 3.5 out of 5.
